Marijuana and hashish have been under focus in recent years by governmental, social, and scientific groups. This attention has triggered the study of chemistry of cannabis sativa, cannabis indica, and other types of plants thought to contain cannabinoid. material. These studies have led to many new syntheses of these plants' substituents.
