<p>This study deals with the tenure of teachers of the fifty-nine rural schools of San Joaquin County that have from one to twenty teachers each.</p><p>The problem is to find and record the factors that influence teachers to continue teaching over a period of years in certain rural schools of San Joaquin County, rather than moving about.</p>
