Reservoir performance and recovery in relation to permeability variations in radial flow
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis thesis is a report on the construction and operation of a resistance network model. The model is used to study the radial flow of an incompressible fluid in a stratified porous media. The investigation made, using a model to represent two layered systems, permits cross-flow between layers and is concerned with the producing characteristics of the system and its recovery. The parameters of the system are varied in order to establish the effect of the magnitude of permeability variation, the relative thickness of the layers, the well spacing and the well penetration
