The Relationship between Social Support and Impact of Family Support Group

The purpose of this study was to determine perceptions of social support held by relatives of LTC residents. In addition, the study was designed to determine what relationship, if any, these perceptions of social support had to caregiver responsibilities prior to LTC admission, change in feelings about LTC placement, and the perceived impact of the LTC Family Support Group.
