The purpose of this project was to increase the understanding of Baptist history and distinctives at FBC Avon Park, Florida by developing and teaching a 6-week discipleship course on Baptist history and distinctives. Chapter 1 presents the context, rationale, and purpose for this project along with the goals to be accomplished. Chapter 2 examines several biblical passages (Matt 28:18–20; Rom 6:1–4; Acts 4:18–20; 2 Pet 2:17–21; 1 Cor 5:1–5) in order to demonstrate the biblical foundation for Baptist doctrine and distinctives. Chapter 3 examines Baptist contributions to key distinctive doctrines. Chapter 4 provides a description of the project including the content and teaching methodology. Chapter 5 provides an evaluation of the project.
