Equipping Members of Gowensville Baptist Church in Gowensville, South Carolina, to Understand Corporate Worship as a Means of Discipleship
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis project sought to equip members of Gowensville Baptist Church to understand corporate worship as a means of discipleship. The first chapter presented the context of GBC. This chapter also included the goals of the project and the methodology used to accomplish it. Chapter 2 provided exegesis of four passages of Scripture (Isa 6; 2 Chr 5:1–7:3; Eph 5:12–21; 1 Cor 12:4–11). Chapter 3 presented a contemporary understanding of biblically faithful corporate worship by describing each of the elements of a typical worship service and how each element contributes to the discipleship of the congregation. Chapter 4 described the project, recounting the content of the course curriculum used. Chapter 5 evaluated the efficacy of the project. The goal of this project was to create a curriculum that glorifies God and equips Christians to be prepared for the eternal joy of heavenly worship.
