Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis project aimed to reinforce parents’ understanding of discipleship. Since the majority of the parents in Shalom Baptist Church, Egbeda, have gone through a discipleship program, it is fitting to start from this base understanding of discipleship and then move to the primary goal of equipping them for the intentional spiritual development of their children. Chapter 1 provides a summary of the context of Shalom Baptist Church, Egbeda, Lagos State, Nigeria. Chapter 2 presents the biblical and theological foundation for equipping parents on how to disciple their children. Chapter 3 examines the theoretical, historical, and practical issues related to family ministry or equipping parents to be primary disciples in their children’s lives. Chapter 4 details the methodology and implementation of the project, including the development of a 4-week discipleship curriculum. Chapter 5 focused on the evaluation of the ministry project.
