dc:description.abstractThis research project taught about and provided opportunities for the purpose and practice of authentic community to the members at Cambrian Park Baptist Church in San Jose, California. Chapter 1 describes the ministry context of the project and the rationale for its implementation. Chapter 2 explores the biblical and theological support for teaching to authentic community. Chapter 3 examines the practical and theoretical support for teaching to authentic community. Chapter 4 delineates, in chronological order, the preparation, implementation, and conclusion of the project. Chapter 5 evaluates the project’s goals and offers reflection on the strengths and weaknesses of the project, as well as theological and personal reflections.
