This project seeks to develop an outreach program in the Adult Sunday school of the First Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. Chapter 1 describes a proposal for outreach through the adult Sunday school including goals, church and community context, and the rational for the project. Chapter 2 examines the biblical and theological principles of outreach through Sunday school. Evangelism is established as a priority of the church and emphasis is given to effective organization. Chapter 3 explores the principles of effective small groups. Group dynamics such as connection, common purpose, commitment, communication, and challenges are considered. Chapter 4 gives details of the actual implementation of the outreach project. Research instruments were utilized and a methodology was adopted for outreach. Chapter 5 reviews the effectiveness of the project. The data is analyzed and the goals and process is evaluated.
