Medical doctors : a study of role concept and job satisfaction, the Egyptian case

dc:description.abstractThe Egyptian Government is attempting toimprove the Health of the Population. One wayto do this would be to provide bulk health careservices. Official views of weakness in thehealth care services include the notion thatdisaffection of medical personnel is a source ofservice inefficiency.The present study attempts to document suchdisaffection by studying the job orientation offour groups of medical personnel.(a) A group of male and female practisingphysicians in rural Upper Egypt.(b) A group of male and female practisingphysicians in rural Lower Egypt.(c) A group of male and female practisingphysicians in the urban setting of Cairo,(d) A group of male and female medicalstudents in training..In the light of disaffactions uncovered somesuggestions are made for improved administrativeand professional cooperation in directed activitytowards improvement of the health care system.
