Evolución del proceso terapéutico en un caso de psicoterapia focal planificada mediante el método del tema central de conflicto relacional (CCRT)
Abstract
[EN]The objective of study is to demonstrate that the Core Conflictual Relationship Theme (CCRT) method captures adequately the general patterns of interaction and the evolution of the therapeutic process in a long-term single case. For this, the method was applied in the case of María, 22 years old Spanish patient diagnosed with histrionic personality disorder, treated by focal planned therapy using both the traditional and the new category system CCRT-LU. The obtained results show a high number of relationship episodes by session (9.03). The main relationship objects were parental figures and partner. The positivity index in treatment is very low. Reactions in interactions are usually negatives and disharmonious. The core conflictual relationship themes are described in detail in the patterns found by CCRT and CCRT-LU. The results are similar, although this provides more information since the dimension of direction. Both the characteristics of the components and the specific and general relationship patterns and positive or negative value of responses vary depending on the person object of the interaction. The study of the relationship themes reflects with accuracy the psychotherapeutic process, showing variations in the phases of the therapy. As process advances decreases the number of relationship episodes by phase; varies the time from past to present; appear less episodes with parental figures; increase positive responses from objects and patient; and varies harmony index in wishes and responses. In CCRT-LU we found a positive correlation in measures of diversity and entropy as the treatment advances, an increase in the repertoire of patient's reactions that would correspond with a desirable therapeutic result. The study demonstrates the functionality of the method for the investigation of the process in psychotherapy, illustrating in detail the core relationship patterns and the changes during the course of a psychoanalytical therapy. CCRT-LU is particularly sensitive to the clinical material and especially advisable in the analysis of the process in psychotherapy
