Antología y estudio de sátiras menipeas novohispanas del siglo XVIII

Abstract

[EN] This work in an anthology compiled six menipeas, some of them unpublished, is intended as a contribution to the study of this genre developed in Mexico. The large and heterogeneous acquis which houses the General Archive of the Nation, the few studies on the general menipea and the minimum information in Mexican literature studies were critical elements to organize the material without any classification satirical literary and sometimes nothing to do with the process where they were inserted. Manuscripts with defined characteristics: tabloid booklets of 21 by 15 cm., Manuscripts, anonymous, satirical blend of prose and verse, and unfortunately, most damaged. His transcription allowed appreciate from its two aspects: literary and historical. I dared to rebuild with sources auténticad a rich and interesting historical and literary context with its obvious chaotic time because the Inquisition materiel formal results showed consulted. The diachronic analysis of Menippean from its origins to its development in the eighteenth-century New Spain with particular elements, and Synchronous anthology highlights carnival theory and renewing his laughter on. The third chapter studies the optical Baroque menipeas under which corroborates the enormous influence that had a dialogism Quevedo and most satires with Cervantes' work. The approach of this square as a meeting place of cultures, its historical importance, the myth of the Fifth Sun and cultural convergence with the Western carnival will be brackets to support the hypothesis of the contribution of our satirical anonymous: the fusion of cultures represented in fire as renewal of Western Carnival existence and Aztec New Fire.
