Infección por virus del papiloma humano en varones pareja de mujeres infectadas y concordancia del tipo viral
Abstract
[EN] Infection with human papilloma virus (HPV) is a major public health problem. It is especially notable for its involvement in the pathogenesis of cervical cancer, so that almost all cases of this disease are associated with persistent infection by oncogenic types of HPV. For males, the number of studies in this direction is lower than in women. To test these hypotheses have been set the following goals: • Study the prevalence of HPV infection in male patients treated at the Dermatology Department of the University of Salamanca Welfare Complex. • Study the prevalence of HPV infection in male partners of infected women not vaccinated. • To study the correlation of viral types found in men with respect to that found in their partners. • Study the factors that could influence the eventual lack of agreement in the above. • Study the evolution of the infection.
