Subproductos de Cloración Inorgánicos y Orgánicos en las Aguas de Castilla y León. Estado actual y perspectivas ante la Revisión de la Directiva Europea

Abstract

[EN] The so-called by-products of chlorination of the water is less friendly face of this milestone in public health has involved the use of chlorine as a disinfectant. The disadvantages of this job are certainly not comparable to its benefits, but for many of these compounds epidemiological studies have established with certainty unequal increased risk of cancer, birth defects and abortions. The objectives of this thesis are: 1 º. Monitor the levels of THMs during the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 in the drinkable water from surface waters of Castilla and Leon, to determine the degree of compliance with the provisional limit of 150 mg / L and the degree of adaptation of plants treatment to meet the new limit of 100 ug / L in January 2009. 2 º. Exploring the levels of THMs in the water of public swimming pools heated in Castilla and Leon, as a preliminary study for a future European standard of public indoor pools. 3 º. Monitor the levels of bromate, chlorite and chlorate in the years 2007 and 2008 water purification Castilla and Leon, to determine the degree of compliance with the provisional limit of 25 g / L and the new 10 ug / L in force since January 2009. 4 º. Investigate the origin of the high levels of bromate, chlorite and chlorate in hypochlorite disinfectant reagents marketed. 5 º. Develop a method of ion chromatography with CD / MS for the simultaneous determination of inorganic chlorination by-products and haloacetic acids 9. Simultaneously all the major inorganic anions normally present in the water. 6 º. Exploring the levels of haloacetic acids in water purification provincial capital of Castilla y Leon.
