Immunology based methodology for detecting and searching anomalies

"Anomaly detection can be defined as the identification of any abnormalities occurring in the normal functioning of a system. A related problem is search for the occurrence of a specific event from a set of large type of possible events. A brute force search or detection of anomalies is computationally expensive. The current research aims at developing a computationally efficient anomaly detection and search methodology. The proposed methodology is motivated by an efficient but complex cooperative effort of the innate and adaptive immune response of the human immune system"--Abstract, page iii.
