The process of development of Mexico in today's global world
Abstract
dc:description.abstractGlobalization has change the relation of the countries in the market, the way they participate and the way they compete for the scarce resources. Different economies have developed different methods to be successful in this environment. We will center our attention on how is Mexico's economy going through, since global trade has become part of the culture of the country, from 1980 to the year 2000 Mexico has signed more than 10 trade treaties with different countries worldwide. Nearly one generation has lived under the global thinking. Many questions have raise from these actions. What is Mexico offering in this matter? What needs to be done? Are the strategies implemented by the government working as they were planed to do? Is there another way to do it? Can Mexico take more advantages of the world trade? The thesis would analyze how the different economies are getting into the global market. This would be the starting point in order to focus to the Mexican economy, analyzing the strategic positioning of the country on the market, the strength of its actual resources and the process of development of the nation. The second part of the work would focus on six structural challenges that the country have to face in order to get to the higher stages of the global market.
