Towards a design process for micro-based computer-aided drafting systems

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Few things will change the architectural profession in the coming years more than the wholesale introduction of computers into the design process that has been made possible by the development of affordable micro-based CAD. This thesis is a case study into how the current state of the art will affect the process of design. Based on this study, I hope to find out if they will make us better informed as designers or just more productive. How will they help us solve problems and create better environments?
