Developing a paradigm for visualizing architecture using computational methods : an analysis of the Havana Project by Lebbeus Woods
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis is concerned with developing a more detailed and efficient process for visualizing architectural forms with computational tools. The thesis will examine the origins of computer visualization and its current implementation to ascertain its inherent deficiencies. A case study, in which a conceptual project by Lebbeus Woods will be represented using this process, will serve as a means for examining these deficiencies and proposing possible solutions. A series of studies will be conducted to test the viability of such solutions and the results will inform the development of a more structured model for applying computer visualization.
