The design of a dual-use pedal control system for use in roadable aircraft
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe goal of this project is the design of a control system that will make operation of the vehicle intuitive and efficient in both ground and air mode. Using relevant precedents and specific functional and regulatory requirements, this project covers the design of a dual-use pedal user interface control system for use in the Transition roadable aircraft concept in development by Terrafugia, Inc®, in Woburn, Massachusetts. The project includes construction of a mock-up as a proof of concept and for use in further development.
