The effect of the principles of dynamic symmetry on modern art and science
Abstract
dc:description.abstractA selection of ancient concepts of ratio, form, proportion and harmony is used as the basis for the motivation and design of geometric art forms. Through a comparison of both contemporary concepts of dimensional space and ancient structural forms, new relationships are inferred. These relationships are then applied in the creation of original sculpture by the artist.
