Elements of religious values in the formation of the General Workers' Union 1943-1952

The dissertation argues that the cultural and motivational levels of the early General Workers' Union (1943-1952) were religious, in which Catholic inspiration manifested itself as persistent. This will be explored in the context of the wider society implications.
