Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe reaction between N,N,N‘,N'-tetramethylphosphoric triamide (TMPT) and chloral has been shown to give chloroform, dimethylformamide, (Me2N)2P(0)NHCH(CCl,)NMe2 and polymeric phosphorus containing compounds. A possible mechanism for the formation of these products is given.
