Regional macroeconomic dynamics in Britain: Investigating structural heterogeneity in transmission of shocks
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis is a study of the macrodynamics of the British regions. It reports the existence of heterogeneity in British regional macrodynamics and furthermore demonstrates, through three related research programmes, for the first time how differences in short run and long run dynamics of the regions are related to structural factors reflecting their different industrial composition.
