THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS RESEARCH IS TO STUDY THE RELATION BETWEEN THE SPECIFIC GRINDING ENERGY OF BRITTLE MATERIALS AND THE GRINDING TIME, THE SIZE OF THE PRODUCT AND THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE MATERIAL. IN THIS INVESTIGATED WORK IS PRESENTED A GREAT NUMBER OF TEST RESULTS SUCH AS GRINDING, MEASURING OF THE SPECIFIC GRINDING ENERGY AND THE DETERMINATION OF THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES MATERIALS. TO STUDY AND CONSIDERATION THESE RESULTS ARE PRESENTED: A) THE VARIATION OF THE SPECIFIC GRINDING NET ENERGY WITH GRINDING TIME AND THE SIZE OF PRODUCT, B) THE VARIATION OF THE GATES-GAUDIN-SCHUHMANN AND ROSIN-RAMMLER SIZE DISTRIBUTION PARAMETERS, OF THE GRINDING PRODUCT WITH GRINDING TIME, C) THE VARIATION OFVOLUME SPECIFIC ENERGY OF MATERIALS WITH THE NUMBER OF BLOWS OF THE HAMMER OF THE MEASURING APPARATUS OF PROTDYAKONOV STRENGTH COEFFICIENT, D) IS PRESENTED APROTOTYPED METHOD OF ESTIMATION OF WORK (BOND) INDEX FROM THE DETERMINED EXPERIMENTALLY USING THE PROTODYAKONOV TEST APPARATUS. FROM THIS STUDY AND CONSIDERATION OF THE RESULTS ABOVE, APPEARS A GREAT NUMBER OF QUALITY AND QUANTITY EXPRESSIONS OF THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS IN A MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS.
