Ellipses of Gravel

<p>This manuscript was my attempt to create a collection of poetry that could potentially be published as a book. I wrote and revised poetry in accordance with lessons learned from several of the authors I studied at Eastern Kentucky University. Workshop courses offered valuable feedback from classmates and professors alike that strengthened my poems as they were in development. I sequenced the collection in a way that I thought would give readers a glimpse into my life from several directions. Many of the poems are autobiographical and I forged a better understanding of some of the events in my life by writing about them. In addition to the editing advice given through my workshop and individual interactions with others, I was provided with multiple perspectives on formatting and arranging this collection from the works I studied. It is my goal to get the better part of this thesis project published as a book of poetry in the future. </p>
