Estudio de la neuroprotección por trímeros de N-alquilglicina frente a excitotoxicidad y neurodegeneración medida por la proteína amiloidea: Mecanismo de acción

En esta Tesis se ha caracterizado la contribución de los subtipos de receptores de glutamato a la muerte de neuronas de hipocampo en cultivo. Además se han identificado N-alquilglicinas con capacidad protectora frente a N-metil-D-aspartato y péptido beta amiloide, que pueden convertirse en posibles fármacos útiles en enfermedades neurodegenerativas.
