Interrelación competitiva entre ictiofauna epicontinental autóctona y alóctona en la orilla del embalse de Orellana (Cuenca del Río Guadiana, España)

Se ha estudiado la ecología de Salaria fluviatilis , especialmente sus relaciones con dos especies alóctonas (Lepomis gibbosus y Micropterus salmoides), con las que sobrevive en las orillas del Embalse de Orellana (cuenca del Río Guadiana, España). El sustrato pedregoso, su coloración críptica, sus hábitos bentónicos, su dieta oportunista y la ausencia de letargo invernal contribuyen a su amplia distribución por este sistema léntico.
