Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe purpose of this study is (1) to investigate structural qualities of certain technical elements of oil painting, (2) to apply these qualities and means to a series of oil paintings related to the figure, (3) to evaluate the quality of structure achieved by these means, and (4) to arrive at conclusions and suggestions for future modifications of the candidate's paintings techniques.
