Abstract
dc:description.abstractIt was the purpose of this study (1) to compare end-of-the-year achievement of the students taking Gregg Shorthand with those taking Forkner Shorthand in the Seattle Public Schools, (2) to make an error analysis of student transcripts to determine the kinds of transcription errors that were made, and (3) to determine whether any particular errors were more prevalent in one shorthand system than in the other.
