Standardization of a Library Skills test for a Metropolitan School District
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe purpose of the study was the standardization of a library skills test for Tacoma, a metropolitan school district of approximately 34,000 pupils in the State of Washington. The test was standardized on the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grade populations of the district using representative samples. Answers were sought to the following questions: (1) Is the library skills test appropriate for the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grades in Tacoma? (2) Is the test appropriate for both boys and girls at these grade levels?
