The implementation of moderation of assessment policy at a school and district : a case study

Moderation of assessment is a quality control mechanism that formed part of the traditional examinations system. With the compulsory introduction of school based assessment in grade 12 in South Africa, moderation of assessments other than examinations came into the forefront of policy discourse.
