Some aspects of pictorial and photographic representation
Abstract
dc:description.abstractAnalysing the relationships between 3-DS, a photograph, a painted rendition of 3-DS and of a photograph involves the examination of the notion of painting as a process evolving towards accurate representation and 'pictorial truth'. The development of a scientific basis for image making with theories of perspective and the invention of photography are central to this process.
