A percepção dos estudantes de uma escola da rede pública na cidade de João Pessoa - PB em relação à atenção farmacêutica e o uso racional de medicamentos.

During at least the past half century, the health care provided to patients was cen tered medical attention. In recent years, this scenario has been modified with the multidisciplinary teams which share the care of patients, and among these the pharmacist, which is the professional of the drug key to decrease number of poisonings by drugs , dosage errors, a better guarantee of pharmacotherapy for the patient and also contribute to the rational use of medication thus preventing microbial resistance, among others, and also the waste of the same population. Within these assumptions this work w as to evaluate the perceptions of high school students of a public school on the theme Pharmaceutical Care and the Rational Use of Drugs in the city of João Pessoa - PB. For this study we used semi - structured questionnaire and also a term of free enlighten ed collection being held in the month of March 2012 with 93 students of a high school network publishes this city. Concluding this study, we observed that in spite of some positive results are, some teens still tend to habits that put their health at risk, how to reuse drugs from third parties and indicated by laymen, not making a rational use of the drug itsel, modify the presentation of the drug, and may even disables it, as well as purchasing by telephone where pharmaceutical care is virtually nonexisten t since the person who does this service clerk is the clerk of the phone.
