Educação de jovens e adultos: relato de uma experiência no presídio de São João do Cariri–PB.

The present study aimed to describe a mode of teaching experience in the Youth and Adult Education students with inmates of the prison unit in the city from São João do Cariri – PB. The framework that justified the study was to research Fonseca (2002), Oliveira (1999) and official documents of education, the example of the Operational Guidelines for the Education of Youth and Adults (BRASIL, 2010). The research methodology is grounded in qualitative research, whose instruments were the observations (log of lessons, conversations and photographs) approach, activities involving Troubleshooting and games and impressions of the researcher, whose researcher was also the teacher of the class. The participants belong to the classes of the 2nd segment (6, 8 and 9 years), classes were held in the afternoon, inside the prison in a hallway. This experiment began in July 2013. For development activities seek to develop actions that stimulate student participation and take into account prior knowledge of the detainees students, their experiences and their own experiences. The results showed that subjects progressed in reading and interpreting mathematical texts, and has provided a reflection on their rights and quality of life.
