Crescimento e produção de variedades de arroz vermelho em neossolo flúvico submetido a doses de esterco bovino
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe decreasing in the productivity of red rice comes from the inadequate soil management coupled with the lack of technical guidance for the use of resources available in the properties as crop fertilization with proper use of manure as well as the lack of use of varieties promising for the ecological conditions of the region. This study aimed to evaluate the growth and yield of three varieties of red rice cultivated in Fluvic Neosol subjected to cattle manure. The soil was collected at a depth of 0-20 cm in 12 areas of red rice cultivation in the municipality of Santana dos Garrotes – Paraíba. The organic source used in the experiment was manure from the same farms where the soil was collected. For each vessel, was applied the quantity corresponding to 0.0, 4.0, 8.0 and 12.0 t ha-1 of manure, equivalent to the value for each vessel, 0.0, 13.91, 27 , 83 and 41.74 g pot ¹ respectively. The parameters determined were plant height, number of tillers, shoot dry mass, root dry mass, number of panicles, number of spikelets/panicle, spikelet sterility, weight of 100 grains and productivity. Significant effect of cattle manure for the height parameter at 60 and 90 days after planting for variety Caqui and Maranhão application of manure resulted in higher productivity of varieties. The cattle manure were not sufficient to achieve maximum productivity of varieties Maranhão and MNA 902. The higher plant height was observed in Caqui and Maranhão varieties depending on cattle manure.
