Uso eficiente de esterco bovino na cultura da mandioca em Planossolo Háplico

The soils of the agrestic region are deficient in nutrients, especially P and N. Thus, to obtain compensatory production is required the incorporation of organic fertilizers, such as, manure. This study aimed to: quantify the levels of Ca, Mg, P and K in the soil, and the contents of N, P and K in shoot and root of the cassava plant; establish the optimal dose of manure to cassava and evaluate the productivity of cassava fertilized with manure for two consecutive years. The experiment was conducted from March 2010 to March 2012, at Mata Redonda farm, located in the municipality of Remigio, PB, Brazil. We used a randomized complete block design with four replications and four treatments, which consisted of four doses of manure (0, 4, 8 and 12 t ha-1), forming a 4x4x2 factorial arrangement. After three successive collections at depth 0 - 20 cm, one before the experiment, the second after the first year of application of manure and the third at the end of the second year, which also received manure application. Under conditions in which the study was conducted concluded that: Fertilization for two successive years, with manure, provided a greater accumulation of Ca and K in Planossolo Haplic, in the 0 to 20 cm. The production obtained with the treatments used in this study did not allow significantly, which is why it was not possible to establish the optimal dose of manure for the production of cassava. And the highest yield was obtained after two consecutive fertilization with manure. The manure fertilizer to supply P to the cassava crop in sandy soils, needs to be studied in controlled environments to provide more accurate information on the availability of this element to the culture.
