O uso da internet como vertente de consulta: em particular no ensino de matemática.

This study aimed to analyze the potential of Internet use in mathematics classes. The research was done in class of 9 years of elementary school, a school in the State Schools in the city of Coremas-PB. According to Penteado (2005), using the Internet at school, can boost and increase the interest and pursuit of knowledge by both the student as part of the teacher. The research was central steps in developing and implementing a module of two activities with the use of computers connected to Internet. While performing its activities found the students' difficulties in using the Internet for consultation with shed for teaching, particularly in mathematics and does not dominate the available tools in a computer properly. After the intervention we found that students made great progress with using the Internet as part of consultation particularly in the Teaching of Mathematics, indicating that the application of a teaching methodology that promotes the interaction between teacher / student and student / student, cooperation, self-esteem and relationship with mathematics had positive effects. These results allow us to conclude that the methodology used in the intervention motivated students to understand the need and use of the Internet.
