RELAÇÃO DA TEMPERATURA DO AR COM AS OCORRÊNCIAS DE DENGUE E MENINGITE NOS MUNICÍPIOS PARAIBANOS DE CAMPINA GRANDE E JOÃO PESSOA

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Dengue is a very serious infectious disease that can kill that is transmitted by the bite of the mosquito Aedes aegypti. Dengue is a serious public health problem in Brazil and the world, and it is our role to arm the information community to fight new epidemics. Meningitis consists of an inflammation of the meninges, membranes that are related to the climatic conditions. The transmission is from person to person, through the respiratory tract or through direct contact with the patient's secretions. This study aims to verify the relationship of air temperature with the occurrence of dengue and meningitis in the Paraiba cities of Campina Grande and João Pessoa. Data on dengue and meningitis were collected on Sinan's website and the temperature data on Inmet. Excel was used for data analysis and testing. Based on the data obtained, it can be observed that there is an influence of the air temperature for the manifestation of the mosquito Aedes aegypti. The results obtained show a great relation between cases of dengue and temperature, these results are important for the elaboration of a control plan, exclusively in cities that have a favorable climate for the development of Aedes aegypti. In addition to temperature, population action and government actions contribute to the increase or decrease of disease rate. It was observed that in the majority of the years analyzed for Campina Grande and João Pessoa, the temperature and relative humidity of the air had a significant influence on the proliferation of dengue. It is evidenced that the meteorological components have a direct influence on the advance of this vector. In the case of meningitis, air temperature and relative humidity did not contribute to the incidence of the disease, there are other causes such as nutritional, social, and immunological defense of the human organism for the onset of the disease.
