Logística brasileira: um estudo teórico do modal dutoviário
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe pipeline transportation is made through ducts, nomenclature given the pipes leading large quantities of products such as oil and its derivatives also known as pipelines, in addition, its use privileges fluid materials, such as gases, liquids, solids, granular and derivatives ore or pipeline. Most pipelines are underground and / or underwater, so being an advantage because it reduces the risk posed by other transport restricting the transport costs or variable cost and fits a lower level of loss and theft. This research aims to describe theoretically the current structure of Pipeline Modal making up the mesh of Brazilian transport. This study was conducted with the use of an applied, quantitative research, which aims to describe the pipeline modal characteristics and establishing relationships between your variables. Through a literature search were raised information, academic papers, published articles, on websites and specialized magazines and documentary research in the literature on the subject. To carry out this monographic research, we used the virtual information environment, dissertations, periodicals, as well as, electronic official database, such as: National Transport Confederation (CNT), Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Institute Applied Research (IPEA), Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), Ministry of Transport, Secretariat of Ports (SEP) among others. It is important to note the main points that contribute to this product transportation mode has a great significance and further development of perspective in the future, due to its high reliability, its carrier is fixed, while the product moves, thus decreasing the risk of accidents, this modal ease of deployment, among other factors. The outlook for the coming years is the increase in investment in the construction of pipelines, specialized in conducting alcohol and the construction of pipelines for its low environmental costs and greater security, thus boosting the use of pipelines in Brazil.
