Análise das áreas temáticas dos trabalhos de conclusão de curso em Ciências Contábeis

The present study has as its aim to identify the distribution of the most explored thematic areas in the studies of the completion of the course (TCC) in Accounting at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) Campus I. The research deals with both methodology, which is descriptive and bibliographical being documentary, the approach is quantitative and qualitative. 399 CBTs which were defended were analyzed during the period studied, and the main results highlighted are that, the most recurrent thematic area during the periods studied was Public Accounting with 100 articles produced, but there was a balance in the amount of work among some thematic areas. The least recurrent was Audit Accounting, Expertise and Arbitrage with only 25 of the CBTs having been analyzed. Most of the authors were female, with 203 in total, 196 of the male gender. However, there was an increase in the number of studies produced by men over the periods, which in the first periods studied were practically half of Produced by females.
