Acessibilidade em unidades de informação e cultura: um estudo na Fundação Espaço Cultural da Paraíba (FUNESC)

The reports significant progress that accessibility, which have a meaningful advance at Cultural Space Foundation the FUNESC. Adaptations of sectors were improved to support people with special needs. The research objectives are to analyze the options of accessibility available in the physical spaces of FUNESC for users with some deficiency. Also, it investigates if the standardization 9050 of ABNT of sectors are in accordance with the rules. It reports the accessibility of the mentioned Foundation in the following aspects: physical, communicational. Methodologically is classified as descriptive exploratory, with a quantitative. Approach showing the step by step of some sectors of the mentioned Foundation, what is offered about access to the main environments of culture and information. That is, the question of its adaptations to receive people who need these services. As e theoretical approach It presents themes concept of deficiency the characteristics in people with some limitation, and it also shows that, despite many conquers in this context that defines the rights of people who need these adaptations, there are still many things to conquer. In the final considerations, it is showed the achieved results and it is proposed that some changes are needed to a better attendance. And it is highlighted the importance of the results in relation to the sectors that are already adapted and the improvements that are hoped.
