Práticas docentes: um estudo no curso de Ciências Contábeis da Universidade Federal da Paraíba na percepção de contadores e professores

The present work has as objective to analyze the teaching practice of the course of Accounting Sciences of the Universidade Federal da Paraíba. The research is classified as descriptive, because it presented characteristics of the teaching practice of the course. Qualitative approach, once it analyzed the perception of accountants working in the job market and teachers concerning to the teaching practice of the course. The procedure was a bibliographic study based on published literature, because questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were used to compare the results with the literature. Regarding the results, they were analyzed from the speeches and feelings transmitted by the interviewed. The data revealed the dissatisfaction of the accountants with regard to the absence of accounting practices during the classes, which makes difficult the entry of the professional that wishes to follow in the job market. They reported that the course is oriented toward training academics. The research has identified that accountants and teachers believe that it’s necessary for teachers to gain professional experience beyond teaching for accounting education.
