Práticas sexuais e preventivas de adolescentes e associação com as diretrizes do Projeto Saúde e Prevenção nas Escolas

This study is interest meet the following research problems: how is characterized sexual and preventive practices of adolescents? What is the perception of adolescents on the School Health Program? This study analyzes the general sexual and preventive practices of adolescents and their perception about the School Health Program. This was a descriptive, exploratory and quantitative research approach. The survey was conducted in a State of Elementary School and Middle School , located in the Mangabeira neighborhood in the city of João Pessoa PB . The study gathered 51 young people aged 13-18 years, mean age of 15 years (SD =1.4). Of the participants, 49% were male Sample (n=25) and 51% female Sample (n=26). Were used as a quantitative instruments and multiple choice, containing issues of sexuality, sexual and preventive practices on health project in Schools (PSE) and on Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and on sociodemographic variables. Instrument data were analyzed using statistical described (frequency, mean and percentage) using the SPSS software, version 18. The participants agreed (M=4.73) than DST are serious, and believe they know about AIDS and are afraid of contracting it. In general, participants disagreed that using condoms with her boyfriend is to say that does not love or trust. However, young people are ashamed to do questions about sexuality, which may be related to the fear of exposing their doubts and intimacies, fearing that parents might discover their sexual practice. In addition, adolescents disagreed that people who have AIDS are guilty or that AIDS is a punishment caused by God. To verify the perception of adolescents about the health program at school, there was a positive perception of the actions developed by the program in school, demonstrating that it had a positive impact on the evaluation of the participants. From this research, we hope to contribute to the knowledge about sexual and preventive practices of adolescents and to carry out public policies for the reality thereof as well as to the improvement of existing shares such as the Health Program in Schools.
