Engajamento ocupacional de acadêmicos e sua percepção sobre o equilíbrio ocupacional
Abstract
dc:description.abstractTo start the academic life of the student becomes involved in numerous activities and new responsibilities changing often, their place of life, making it increasingly fast-passed and can interfere with your occupational balance. This work aims to understand the occupational engagement of students from the Occupational Therapy Course and their perception of occupational balance. This theme deal with the central purpose of the professional practice of the Occupational Therapist, human occupations. This is an exploratory and descriptive crosssectional study of quantitative quality approach. The research population consist of students of occupational therapy course at the Federal University of Paraiba. Data were collected through the electronic questionnaire application, with closed and open questions in the first stage, and Focus Group, in the second stage. Statistical data were analyzed using the Excel program. The data relating to the Focus Group will be analyzed in a simple descriptive manner. Found 85% of student are female , 50% of public school arising and 65% with family income up to three minimum salaries. Students reported that their daily life is changed after he joined the University and showed dissatisfaction with the time devoted to some areas of occupation, mainly rest and sleep, leisure and social participation. We note that for the use of time footprint education has the highest number of hours involved, because education plays a central role in their lives and generally guide the engagement time with other activities. In this sense education has great significance in the lives of graduate students, mainly because they seek to become qualified and competent professionals to enter the labor market. Students realize the occupational balance as the organization of daily activities. Its this hoped that the study will allow broaden perspective of the academic community on the importance of occupational balance, and has caused the students to reflect on their own occupational balance in order to identify early occupational signs of imbalance in your life and your customers.
