Abstract
dc:description.abstractEarly childhood education is one of the most important teaching steps for the development of the child, whether disabled or not. In this educational process, the teacher who works and has a positive view of inclusive education becomes a primary factor for the success of this type of education. This study aims to identify how is the inclusion of children with disabilities in the process Centro de Referência em Educação Infantil (CREI) and the conceptions of teachers on inclusive education. This research was qualitative having as instruments to collect data questionnaires applied to teachers and the CREI manager, and the observation in Field Diary. The subjects were the management and teachers of early childhood education. The data analysis could evaluate the current situation of CREI ABC and how the inclusion process is being developed in the context of early childhood education. However, the results show us that the education and training of professionals in early childhood education in an inclusive perspective along with the parents' resistance to accept a child with disabilities become decisive factors in the effectiveness of the inclusion process within the CREI.
