A gestão dos arquivos em pequenas e médias empresas e o acesso à informação como estratégia para tomada de decisão

This study aimed to analyze the use of the file in small and medium enterprises as a source of strategic information for decision making by entrepreneurs. Documentary cycle was analyzed such as the storage of documentation application filed in commercial sectors; types of documentation used; its adaptation to other sectors of the company; the methodology of classification; the accommodation of the documents as an instrument guard and the file structure as document storage. The methodology was a case study in 04 companies. Applied the questionnaire to the entrepreneur in order to identify how the information contained in the files were used for making the company's decision. It was concluded that the information contained in the files of small and medium-sized companies surveyed is not structured to serve research for decision making, as there is the importance and knowledge of entrepreneurs with its documentation for the purpose of consultation.
