Utilização de Histórias em Quadrinhos no ensino de reações orgânicas para Ensino Médio.

The Organic Chemistry Teaching in High School requires an understanding of the chemical changes that occur in natural and technological systems. For a better understanding of all the processes it is important that the teacher seek new methods to assist in the process of teaching and learning in order to arouse in student interest in chemistry classes. The introduction of recreational activities and other educational resources are indicated to improve this process. In this thought, Comics is a tool that has a playful character by providing a funny way to study through a quick read and easy to understand. Herein, we proposed the comics as a teaching resource in organic classes. The methodology was based on the exhibition of the content of organic reactions in three classes (A, B and C) of 3rd year of High Scholl at Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio Presidente João Goulart in João Pessoa - PB. Classes A and B had two lessons: one on the contents of the exhibition using the Comics; and two, developed on the activity where students in groups have produced their own Comics. In group C was also developed two classes with exposure of the content and exercise resolution without the use of comics in order to make a comparison between methodologies. The evaluations were made by a written quiz. The results showed that the students had a good acceptance for the methodology using comics. The students considered that the classes were more dynamic, more fun and that there were a better interaction between teacher and student. The quiz applied to the students involving the content of organic reactions showed that the classes A and B had the best performance in the number of correct answers. The obtained results are indicative that the methodology using Comics in teaching organic reactions are a good alternative to the didactic teaching of Organic Chemistry in High School.
