Arquivo privado pessoal e de família: percepção dos concluintes do curso de Arquivologia da cidade de João Pessoa - PB

This piece of research aims at analyzing the pre-undergraduate archival students perception from two public universities of the municipality of João Pessoa – PB about the concepts that permeate the archive, especially the Private Personal and Family Archives (PPFA) with the intention to realize how the conceptual framework with its fragilities and potentialities occurs. Once the Archival course presents a strong technical bias, we inquired how the theoretical conceptual profile is structured regarding the private personal and family archives from a macro vision in which we analyzed the archive concept as work instrument in order to focus on the more specific analysis afterwards in seek of the concepts related to PPFA. It is an exploratory-descriptive research carried out in two phases: the bibliographical and the field research. For data collection, we used a questionnaire with opened and closed questions answered by the pre-undergraduate students of the Archival course from two public universities of the João Pessoa-PB. Therefore, it was used the quanti- qualitative approach by adopting Bardin ́s analytical perspective (2011). The results point out weak aspects in the conception of the private personal and family archives referring mainly to the principle of organicity, document and pieces of information.
