Signos e sinais: o papel e a importância da LIBRAS para o profissional arquivista
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis research addresses the quality of service to customers, who have hearing impairment within the documentary collections of institutions that are open to the public. The methodological approach used to theoretically substantiate this study was a literature search, working aspects regarding the importance of communication, the role of the Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) the formation of the archivist and characterizing an exploratory and qualitative research. Uses a structured interview as a tool for data collection, structured by means of open questions, however the results revealed that, need to improve care for these people, because the archivist does not know how to proceed in dealing with the situation in which a hearing impaired is inserted. Suggests also that the discipline is inserted (LIBRAS), so that we can narrow the gap to this type of care.
