Efeito do nanocristais de celulose como aditivo na deposição de zinco através da eletrodeposição.
Abstract
dc:description.abstractMany studies have studied ways to increase the corrosion resistance of materials, since any environment contains corrosive substances. Electrodeposition is the widely used method to preserve the substrate from corrosion, and one of the most commonly used depositsis zinc. Currently, there is a lot of research in to nanocrystals, most of which are ceramic, to improve the resistance of deposits. However, in this work the aimis to use cellulose nanocrystals, which are obtained from natural, non-toxic and lowcostresources, in electrodeposition with zinc. It can be concluded, from the tests carried out, that when adding cellulose nanocrystals as an additive in the electrolytic bath, at the optimum concentration of 7%, the current efficiency and corrosion resistance increase, while the roughness and crystallite size decrease.
